Oakwise Capital Holding Ltd. was founded by Dr. Wang in 2018 and headquartered in Hong Kong. COSCO Shipping Investment Holdings Co., Ltd. has strategically acquired shares and carried out all-round business cooperation. Currently, it covers equity, bond, private equity and other asset management business, as well as family office business, with branches in Hong Kong, mainland China and Singapore.
Oakwise Capital Management Ltd. is an asset management company registered with the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong (SFC). Holding the Type 1, Type 4 and Type 9 licenses issued by SFC, Oakwise Capital Management provides a series of products and services which focus on investing in Greater China, including fund, separated managed account, family office and other services. The investors include renowned state-owned enterprises, city investment enterprises, financial institutions, listed companies, family offices and high net worth individuals.
Oakwise Trust Ltd. is a trust company registered in Hong Kong. Dr. Eric Wang
Chairman & CEO
Dr. Wang has over 15 years of investment management experience. Dr. Wang used to work for the asset management arm of renowned insurance companies. He has successively worked as a portfolio manager in China Life Franklin Asset Management and New China Asset Management (Hong Kong), and as CEO of New China COSCO Financial Holding. Dr. Wang has profound investment experience in bond, equity and private equity, and he excels in asset allocation, multi strategy investment and quantitative investment with a proven track record. Dr. Wang has a strong insight into the capital market and a great sense to capture systematic investment opportunities. After years of investment practice, he has gradually formed a prudent investment style, achieved an excellent and consistent performance record, which won him a market fame and reputation.
Dr. Wang has won many awards in the international investment community. In 2014, his fund was awarded "Best Greater China Fund" by HFM. In 2016, his fund was nominated "Best New Fund of the Year" by HFM and AsiaHedge. In 2020, Oakwise Capital was awarded "Asian Rising Star" by Asia Asset Management. In 2021, Oakwise Capital was awarded as"Hong Kong Credit Focus-Outstanding Achiever" and the fund manager was awarded as "Hong Kong Fixed Income-Manager of the Year" by Benchmark.
Dr. Wang graduated from Xi'an Jiaotong University with bachelor's degree in Management Engineering, he went on to gain master's degree in Finance from the Graduate School of PBOC, and a PhD in Finance from the University of Hong Kong.
Mr. Richard Zhang
Partner
Mr. Zhang has more than 15 years of experience in finance and is a seasoned investment banker. With his profound understandings and rich experience in the operation of capital markets in both mainland China and Hong Kong, he was appointed senior positions at UBS Securities, Citic Securities, and ABC International. He was one of the pioneers in the offshore RMB bond market and managed over 100 capital markets deals, including landmark IPOs such as the Agricultural Bank of China and Citics Securities, as well as numerous bond issuances of leading Chinese property companies. The total amount of financing exceeds 10 billion US dollars and has repeatedly won the Finance Asia Awards. Moreover, he was amongst the first batch of bankers, who successfully raised QDII funds invested in Hong Kong stock market.
Mr. Zhang started his career as a diplomat in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has participated in numerous important diplomatic events such as the six-party talks on the Korean nuclear issue and the United Nations annual assembly as a simultaneous interpreter. He received his master's degree in global finance from New York University.
